Refilmery Series takes you behind the scenes to discover the process and strategies that filmmakers and creative people employ in their work.
Today we’re speaking with Brandon Li – a travel filmmaker and global nomad.
Brandon has the ability to dive beneath the layers of a destination, taking you off the streets and public areas and into the private lives of its inhabitants.
He uses camera movement and invisible edits to maintain seamless transitions between spaces, themes, and moods.
The quality of his films have been recognized with numerous coveted Vimeo Staff Picks.
I’m dialing in long distance to ask him about how it feels to live a permanently nomadic lifestyle, the curiosity he has discovering the world through a lens, and how filmmaking has helped him grow as a person.
