The Refilmery Series podcast is the weekly show that takes you behind the year’s most exciting films and into the lives of the people who create them.

On the show today I cover the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival. I chat with Nicole Kidman, Jason Bateman, and Maryann Plunkett about their new film The Family Fang.

Catherine Hardwicke, director of Twilight, Lords of Dogtown and Thirteen, conducted a Masterclass that took us inside her preproduction process – from creating a shotlist, constructing look-books,
shaping locations and, building relationships with cast and crew alike. She offered amazing tips and tricks while showcasing her personal work materials. I spoke with her on the red carpet before her Masterclass.

And in our third segment, some of the standout films that I have seen at Tribeca have actually been documentaries. All This Panic is a documentary about teenage girls growing up in New York City. It was filmed over three years and directed by Jenny Gage and DP by Tom Betterton.
